The Systems & Performance Engineer plays a key role in the development and support of High Lift and secondary flight control products, translating customer requirements into technical solutions and verifying compliance through analysis, modelling, and testing. This position supports new product development, qualification activities, and technical investigations while working closely with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams.

As the Systems & Performance Engineer, you will:

- Interpret and manage customer technical requirements for new and modified flight control products.
- Generate and maintain documentation required to effectively flow technical requirements to component suppliers.
- Determine compliance to customer specifications through engineering analysis, similarity assessments, and testing activities.
- Define and develop validation and verification documentation, test schedules, test procedures, technical reports, test reports, and compliance matrices.
- Perform engineering analysis to determine the sizing and performance characteristics of hydraulically and electrically powered secondary flight control products.
- Apply modelling and simulation techniques to evaluate complex aerospace actuation systems and product performance.
- Prepare the technical content of customer Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP) for new and modified applications.
- Lead and support technical investigations involving Moog products, including manufacturing, customer, and supplier-related issues.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert, representing Moog during investigations and problem resolution activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the aerospace product lifecycle.

To be considered for the Systems & Performance Engineer position, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with experience performing performance analysis of complex mechanical systems.
- Experience with computer-based modelling and simulation techniques.
- Understanding of system requirements definition and validation and verification processes.
- Strong report writing and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with engineering and analysis software such as MATLAB, Mathcad, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional engineering teams.

It would be nice if you also had:

- Aerospace industry experience.
- Knowledge of Secondary Flight Control Actuation systems and functional design.
- Experience using requirements management tools such as DOORS.
- Familiarity with ARP4754 and aerospace system development processes.
- Experience providing technical guidance to junior engineers or technicians.
