THE OPPORTUNITY (role summary) :
The Monitor Refurbishment Technician is responsible for testing, evaluating, and refurbishing computer monitors to ensure they meet established quality and functionality standards. This position will assess the value, functional condition, and cosmetic condition of monitors and assign appropriate grades based on company guidelines.
Key responsibilities include organizing, cleaning, and maintaining department inventory; processing items into inventory; conducting cycle counts; performing quality control inspections; and maintaining accurate inventory levels. The technician will also fulfill customer orders, prepare and package monitors for shipment, and build wholesale lots according to customer requirements.
Additionally, this role will assist with training and mentoring other employees and temporary labor, ensuring team members understand proper testing, refurbishment, grading, quality control, and workflow procedures.
Schedule:
- HOURLY : Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.
Reports to: This position reports to Memphis Production Lead
Compensation: $ PAY - $20-23 / Hourly - DOE
Location: Memphis, TN
THE PERFECT FIT ( skills/qualities/knowledge ):
Detail Oriented
Accuracy and maintaining standards are key. Applying correct SKU’s and accurate inventory management is crucial. Must have a keen eye for identifying defects.
Team Player
The candidate must be highly flexible and adaptable. Must be willing and able to change priorities quickly and flex into other departments as needed. No job is underneath them. Must be able to work in a collaborative environment where everyone pulls their weight. Must pull no stops on meeting client ship date requirements.
Long-Term
We’re not looking for someone who’s half-invested. Our team is growing FAST and we want you to grow with us. The right candidate will be looking to contribute for the long haul.
THE DAY TO DAY (essential job functions ) :
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Assess value of incoming gear
- Organize and sort production lanes
- Test monitors and other electronic devices
- SKU products
- Put items into inventory
- Pick and ship daily incoming orders
- Identify process bottlenecks
- Ongoing communication across departments
THE VITALS ( position-related requirements ):
- Knowledge of computer hardware
- Knowledge of inventory management systems
- Skilled in researching specific models and assessing value
- Knowledge in standard shipping methods
- Skilled in SKU’ing devices accurately
- Skilled in following standards
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects as needed 50+ lbs.
- Ability to work and look at a computer screen for extended hours per day.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for consecutive hours.
- Ability to work in a climate-controlled warehouse environment with some temperature fluctuations, moderate noise, and a fast-paced, busy atmosphere.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- The ability to speak/read English fluently
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Valid Drivers License
- The ability to pass a drug test
- The ability to pass a background screening with no prior convictions related to theft or cybercriminal activity.
- The ability to perform all work related duties free from any type of impairment.
- Clean criminal record and completely drug free
