Position Overview
The Senior Manager performs all aspects of warehouse inventory duties and tasks.
- Good working knowledge of the automated system and inventory management control.
- Works with all divisions to coordinate shipping and receiving of spares and equipment.
- Equipment Management Lead.
- Responsible for staging and mobilizing for vessel operations.
- Responsible for managing load operations for both vessels and depots.
- Responsible for the integrity of the cable and bodies as these items are being positioned for storage and installation.
- Perform Q&A and is responsible for auditing all documentation for accuracy and completeness while maintaining a database that holds all items for the projects.
- Must be able maintain a DOD Clearence and Associated Accesses
- Must be able to maintain a TWIC and US Drivers license.
- Must be able to maintain a current US Passport.
- Oversight and direction for all Depot Managers
Responsibilities
- Logistical Specialist planning warehouse resources and activities in keeping with operations objectives and targets.
- Responsible for shipping parts/supplies to support vessels conducting undersea cable operations
- Understand and design mobilizations from ship layouts for cable loads to managing the undersea cable and optical body positioning and orientations for marine operations.
- Improve warehouse organization / layout to reduce cycle time to receive, pull and ship or issue material.
- Responsible for shipping and receiving parts/supplies to support vessels conducting undersea cable operations
- Ensure that workplaces health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the proper storage and security of the warehouse building and material.
- Review and improve department processes to increase productivity to eliminate waste.
- Manage reconciliation of transit accounts for outbound and inbound shipments.
- Maintain database of customers product and locations
- Travel 90 days per year may be required
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), BS/BA Preferred.
- Ten (10) years logistics, Depot and procurement experience in military or commercial operations
- Excellent negotiating, contract management, communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
- Experience in the management of international freight and logistics to include packaging, crating, shipping modes, shipping lanes, customs, insurance and inspections.
- Ability to run cable hauling and shoreside equipment to handle cable and body movements
- Excellent Microsoft office skills required.
- Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.
- Ability to establish and maintain project priorities.
- Ability to effectively training and grow subordinates in all facets of depot operations
