About the role:

The Duty Engineer directly contributes to the guest experience by responding proactively to maintenance needs, maintaining impeccable standards, and demonstrating professionalism and care at all times.

What you will do:

Act as the primary engineering representative on duty, ensuring uninterrupted operation of all hotel facilities and systems.

Maintain, operate, and troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire & life safety, and building automation systems.

Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests with urgency, discretion, and a service-oriented approach aligned with Four Seasons standards.

Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure proper functionality, safety, and presentation.

Proactively identify potential maintenance issues and take corrective action before they impact guests or operations.

Supervise and coordinate the work of engineering colleagues and external contractors during assigned shifts.

Maintain accurate shift reports, maintenance logs, and work orders using the hotel’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Support preventive maintenance programs to ensure asset longevity and operational reliability.

What you will bring:

Technical qualification, diploma, or degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field preferred).

Two to five years of engineering experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or Four Seasons.

Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire & life safety, and building management systems.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
