HVAC Mechanic

About the Role

As an HVAC Mechanic , you will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and repair of all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems throughout the hotel.

This role is essential to delivering exceptional guest comfort, maintaining superior indoor air quality, and supporting energy efficiency initiatives—all while upholding Four Seasons standards of excellence, safety, and service.

What You Will Do

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, including chillers, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), VRF/VRV systems, package units, exhaust systems, and associated controls.
• Ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and air quality levels in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest-related HVAC concerns, ensuring minimal disruption to the guest experience.
• Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with the hotel’s maintenance schedule and Four Seasons standards.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues before they impact operations or guest comfort.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection records within the hotel’s CMMS.
• Assist with energy conservation initiatives, system optimization, and sustainability programs.
• Ensure compliance with all local codes, safety regulations, and Four Seasons health and safety standards.
• Coordinate with other Engineering team members and external service providers as required.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of mechanical rooms and HVAC work areas at all times.
• Participate in emergency response procedures related to HVAC and mechanical systems.

What You Bring

• Technical certification or diploma in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2–5 years of hands-on HVAC experience, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort, or large commercial facility.
• Strong working knowledge of:
– Chillers and central plant operations
– VRF/VRV and split systems
– Air handling and ventilation systems
– Refrigeration systems and controls
– Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Knowledge of HVAC safety standards, refrigerant handling practices, and environmental regulations.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and fault-finding skills.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Service-oriented mindset with a strong focus on guest comfort and satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Professional communication skills when interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Physically capable of performing maintenance tasks and working in mechanical and plant spaces.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
