Job Summary:

The Seasonal Barista performs the same general functions as an Entry-Level, Limited-Tips Server , but operates specifically within a coffeehouse setting during peak operational periods. In addition to taking orders and serving food and beverages, this role is responsible for operating specialized equipment to prepare a wide variety of coffee, tea, and related beverages. For roles within a franchise coffeehouse (e.g., Starbucks), the Barista is required to learn and abide by all franchise policies, operational procedures, and brand standards.

Job Specifications:

- Starting Wage: $12.14/hr - $16.04/hr

- Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027

- Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available

- Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

- Housing Availability: Yes

Job Responsibilities:

- Beverage Preparation: Operate specialized espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment to prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and custom related beverages.

- Food Service: Prepare and serve simple food items, including breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, wraps, and other basic menu options.

- Customer Service: Greet customers, take precise orders, answer menu questions, and deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

- Franchise Compliance: Learn, maintain, and abide by established franchise policies, recipe standards, and service guidelines (where applicable).

- Daily Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workstation while following health, safety, and sanitation protocols.

Job Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to assist others.

- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.

- Basic computer and math skills; familiarity with POS systems preferred.

- Prior customer service or restaurant experience is a plus.

- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Ability to lift 50+lbs.

The expected pay range is $12.14/hr - $16.04/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
