About this role
The Salesforce Solution Architect leads platform strategy and architecture for the program across the Salesforce stack. This role sets the platform roadmap, defines architecture and configuration standards, oversees journey and integration builds, and ensures the platform scales reliably and cost-effectively as the program grows.
Responsibilities
- Configure and implement customer data platforms such as Salesforce Data 360, Tealium, Segment or Adobe Experience Platform, including data streams, attributes, identity, segments and activations.
- Build and maintain integrations with engagement platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Adobe Journey Optimizer and Emarsys, as well as ad platforms and analytics tools.
- Develop and validate data flows, including event collection, ingestion, attribute enrichment, audience triggers and activation.
- Design and document data layer specifications and tagging plans for web and app.
- Implement and maintain tags, JavaScript extensions, load rules and data layer mappings in Tealium iQ, Google Tag Manager and similar tag management systems.
- Implement server-side and event-stream data collection, including Tealium EventStream, server-side Google Tag Manager and conversion APIs.
- QA and validate tagging and data collection using browser developer tools, tag debuggers and network inspection.
- Build and test API integrations between data collection, CDP and activation platforms.
- Translate solution designs into implementation plans, tickets and configuration specifications.
- Test and QA configurations, data flows and audiences, and troubleshoot issues across the marketing technology stack.
- Document platform configurations, data mappings and implementation decisions.
- Build reusable patterns, scripts and accelerators that can be applied across clients.
- Collaborate with architects, strategists and client technical teams to align implementations with business goals.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with customer data platforms, marketing automation or MarTech integration.
- Experience configuring at least one enterprise CDP and one engagement or marketing automation platform.
- Strong JavaScript skills, essential for tag management configuration, extensions and data layer work.
- Hands-on experience implementing and debugging tag management systems and data layers.
- Experience working with REST APIs, authentication, webhooks and JSON payloads, using tools such as Postman.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across data flows, integrations and audience behavior.
- Clear documentation, communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Data Cloud or Marketing Cloud certifications, or equivalent Tealium or Adobe certifications.
- Experience with Python for data processing or automation.
- Experience integrating consent management platforms, such as OneTrust, with tagging and data collection.
- Experience implementing mobile SDKs for analytics and data collection.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
- Background in MarTech consulting or agency delivery.
- Automotive, OEM or dealer-network experience.
Work Environment
- This role supports multiple GTX client engagements across industries and technology platforms.
- The role requires close coordination with client marketing, technology and data teams; occasional travel or on-site presence may be required.
