In this role, you will lead financial operations, budget planning, forecasting, value management, and investment evaluation activities that support executive decision-making and strategic portfolio governance. You will partner across business, technology, finance, and operational teams to identify opportunities, quantify value, evaluate investment decisions, and monitor realization of expected outcomes.
The core work hours will be based on EASTERN time, with flexibility based on exact location.
The Delivery Lead oversees financial operations and value management activities that enable effective portfolio governance and investment decision-making. This role is responsible for operational budget management, forecasting, invoicing oversight, financial reporting, and performance tracking across a complex portfolio of initiatives.
The Delivery Lead develops business cases, identifies and quantifies expected value, supports investment evaluations, and establishes processes to monitor benefits realization. This role partners with leaders across the organization to evaluate new opportunities, assess strategic investments, and ensure alignment between financial commitments and expected business outcomes.
The selected candidate will establish portfolio-level reporting and scorecards, monitor expected versus realized value, identify risks and opportunities impacting financial performance, and provide recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
The Delivery Lead exercises independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues, works under minimal supervision, and requires strong analytical, financial, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead operational budget management, forecasting, invoicing, and financial planning activities.
- Develop and maintain portfolio-level financial reporting and performance scorecards.
- Partner with business and technology leaders to develop business cases and investment recommendations.
- Identify, quantify, and track expected value associated with strategic initiatives.
- Establish and maintain processes for value realization measurement and reporting.
- Support portfolio governance processes, including investment prioritization and funding reviews.
- Analyze financial and operational performance trends and make recommendations to improve outcomes.
- Communicate portfolio performance, investment recommendations, and realized value to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Maintain visibility into portfolio spend, forecast accuracy, and investment performance.
- Drive continuous improvement of value management and financial operations capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of healthcare, finance, operations, strategy, or portfolio management experience.
- 5+ years of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or business operations experience.
- Experience developing business cases and evaluating investment opportunities.
- Experience analyzing and communicating financial and operational performance metrics.
- Experience leading highly complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and executive communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale healthcare, technology, or transformation portfolios.
- Experience with benefits realization, value management, or portfolio management disciplines.
- Experience preparing materials and recommendations for executive leadership review.
- Knowledge of healthcare payer operations, Stars, Risk Adjustment, Clinical Data Exchange, or Technology portfolios.
- MBA, CPA, PMP, or similar advanced certification.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$115,200 - $158,400 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
