Automation Advisor - Hospitality & Large Venues
Hotels | Resorts | Casinos | Convention Centers | Sports and Entertainment Venues
Establish Tennant Robotics as the automation partner for hospitality and public-assembly environments where guest experience, labor availability,appearance, and operational consistency converge.
Location: Open to candidates in any location or remote.
The Hospitality & Large Venues Automation Advisor is responsible for developing robotics opportunities across hotel brands, ownership and management groups, resorts, casinos, convention centers, stadiums, arenas, entertainment venues, and similar public-assembly environments. The role requires deep knowledge of how these organizations buy, operate, outsource services, and standardize equipment across portfolios.
Market Mission
- Define the national hospitality and large-venue robotics strategy and priority-account portfolio.
- Create access through brands, ownership groups, management companies, procurement organizations, facility operators, BSCs, distributors, and hospitality supply partners.
- Convert single-property interest into repeatable portfolio, operator, or brand-level automation programs.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and Advance Robotics Opportunities
- Build and maintain a focused portfolio of high-potential targets, including new customers, existing Tennant customers not yet using robotics, and installed-base expansion opportunities.
- Research target organizations, stakeholders, operating environments, business priorities, and automation maturity.
- Create informed outreach and account-based pursuit strategies with field sales, strategic accounts, channel partners, Marketing, and leadership.
Lead Discovery and Solution Development
- Understand the customer's cleaning operation, labor model, workflow, facility conditions, performance requirements, and business objectives.
- Evaluate automation fit, identify readiness risks, and translate customer challenges into clear use cases and measurable outcomes.
- Design the evaluation pathway, including site assessments, demonstrations, testing, pilots, success criteria, and multi-site validation.
Build the Business Case
- Translate capabilities into operational and financial value, including labor optimization, consistency, safety, data visibility, service support, and scalability.
- Develop credible ROI assumptions and adapt the value proposition for operations, facilities, procurement, finance, IT, security, and executive stakeholders.
- Position automation as a long-term operating capability rather than a stand-alone equipment purchase.
Orchestrate the Opportunity
- Serve as commercial quarterback when designated, maintaining the opportunity strategy, stakeholder map, risks, next actions, and path to decision.
- Coordinate account teams, technical resources, Customer Success, Service, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Pricing, and executive sponsors.
- Maintain accurate CRM information and provide a reality-based view of timing, customer commitment, deployment readiness, and deal risk.
Hospitality and Venue Market Leadership
- Map the relationships among brands, owners, management companies, property operations, procurement groups,venue operators, concession partners, and outsourced service providers.
- Develop business cases around labor optimization, guest and attendee experience, appearance standards, event turnover, safety, operating hours, and consistency.
Build evaluation plans suited to occupied hotels, 24/7 casinos, event-driven venues, convention move-in/move-out cycles, and mixed floor environments.
- Develop relationships with hospitality supply, chemical, equipment, facility-management, and procurement ecosystems that can create scalable market access.
- Train local teams to identify the true decision structure and appropriate entry point for each property or portfolio.
Experience and Capabilities
- Bachelor's degree andm minimum of 7-10 years experience in complex sales or business-development in hospitality, venues, facilities, capital equipment, or operational services.
- Strong understanding of multi-property and multi-stakeholder selling.
- Ability to travel at least 25% and conduct operational discovery in guest-facing, event-driven, and continuously operating environments.
- Excellent executive communication, account planning, trial design, and commercial-orchestration skills.
Preferred Background
- Experience with a major hospitality supplier, chemical provider, capital-equipment company, procurement organization, management company, or facility-services provider.
- Established relationships within hotel groups, ownership groups, management companies, casinos, conventionm centers, or sports and entertainment venues.
- Knowledge of brand standards, purchasing programs, property-level versus corporate decision rights, and outsourced operating models.
- Experience scaling programs across property portfolios or venue networks.

- Conversion of property pilots into portfolio or enterprise programs. Repeatable hospitality and venue playbooks adopted by field teams.
- Robotics growth supported by strong channel and ecosystem relationships.
Total Compensation = Pay range + Benefits
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Tennant Sales and Service Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. The salary range reflects both entry into the role and future growth. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits
