### Moog Space and Defense Group is projecting significant growth driven by high levels of U.S. Department of Defense spending and continued desire for space exploration.  The Engines Business Unit at the Moog Niagara Falls site supplies rocket engines, propellant tanks, and propulsion systems for a variety of spacecraft, launch vehicle, and strategic defense missions.

We are looking for an Associate Product Engineer to support our space propulsion hardware business as part of the technical team on recurring production programs.  The successful candidate will work as part of the project team in pursuit of successful project execution.  The associate product engineer will report directly to the Product and Project Engineering Manager.

This position will be based primarily out of the Niagara Falls facility, however travel between Niagara Falls and East Aurora facilities may also be required depending on the needs of particular programs.

Here’s what you need to bring with you:

- ### Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering (or comparable field)

- ### 3 years of related product or project engineering experience preferred, with a proven track record of successful completion of projects.
- ### Self-starting instincts and an eagerness to own assigned aspects of a project or projects.
- ### Ability to work independently with a strong technical foundation.
- ### Ability to communicate and coordinate with manufacturing, assembly, and test teammates.
- ### Ability to work onsite in Western New York (WNY), primarily out of Niagara Falls.
- ### This position requires a full physical which includes bloodwork and pulmonary function testing.

- ### Must have the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance

Here's what you'll be working on day to day:

- ### Provide assembly/test instructions and monitoring to maintain production.
- ### Assure and maintain design integrity, producibility, and quality in development and production products.
- ### Develop and improve tools, fixtures, and test equipment.
- ### Assess non-conformances or technical issues that occur during assembly and test.
- ### Participation in RCCA analyses that ensure long-term solutions to precent recurring problems.
- ### Participate in customer presentations or technical review meetings.
- ### Coordinate with multiple departments to eliminate roadblocks and ensure on-time delivery of hardware.
- ### Participate in hands-on prototyping of new products

Salary Range Transparency:
Niagara Falls, NY $70,000.00–$100,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
