BASIC FUNCTION:

Under the supervision of the Referrals Manager, the incumbent is responsible for expediting routine matters necessary to the daily operation of the Referrals Department.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provides secretarial support to the Referrals Manager and other staff of the Referrals Department, by performing routine clerical and office functions.

- Develops and maintains a cohesive, team-oriented atmosphere with physicians, nurses, and ancillary

- Assists in the preparation of budgets and reports by assisting with department office supplies and

- Follows through on various program projects as assigned by the Referrals

- Organizes and maintains various files as directed by Referrals

- Drafts correspondence for

- Processes and files all incoming and outgoing department

- Records minutes for department and collaborative team

- Serves as a liaison between patients, offsite referral offices and SNHS Conducts follow-ups between referring providers' offices, patients, and insurance companies.

- Ensures receipt of records from offsite referral offices and conduct follow-ups as necessary with the appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

- Associate's Degree in Office Administration or Business Administration is

- 2 years of office management experience or related experience,

- Public speaking and etiquette

- Experience working in a mental health facility, hospital, medical center, outpatient health care setting, or Indian Health Service (IHS)/tribal health, preferred.
