SCOPE OF POSITION

The Associate Director of Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership for Ohio State Martha Morehouse Outpatient Care- a complex ambulatory campus encompassing the Pavilion and Concourse buildings, as well as support for the adjacent 2006 Kenny Road location; the three locations totaling over 240,000 gross square feet. The campus supports a broad continuum of outpatient services, including Advanced Urgent Care, Imaging, Laboratory, Infusion, Rehabilitation, Neurology, Lung Care, Sleep Medicine, Bariatric Surgery, Comprehensive Weight Management, Nutrition.

This role is accountable for the overall operational performance and campus integration of the campus, including achievement of key metrics related to financial stewardship, patient experience, employee engagement, safety, quality, operational throughput, and service excellence. The Associate Director will work closely with clinical, perioperative, and administrative leadership to support regulatory readiness, accreditation standards, and ongoing compliance efforts across both facilities. In addition, the Associate Director will oversee shared operational services supporting the campus and serve as a key connector across physicians, clinical teams, support departments, and enterprise partners, including collaboration with The James building leader who oversees the Martha Morehouse Outpatient Care Tower to ensure a cohesive, patient-centered experience.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate Director is the operational leader of Ohio State Martha Morehouse Outpatient Care.  The Director leads the effort to develop actions and structure to achieve annual employee engagement, patient satisfaction, access, quality, financial performance goals, and other key metrics of the entire facility's clinical operations.  The Associate Director will partner with ambulatory services leadership, physician faculty leaders, service line leaders, and clinic managers to ensure that daily operations are seamlessly delivered.  This position provides leadership input for program and service development - promoting the collaboration between all services to meet staffing, patient satisfaction, quality metrics through a team-first and multi-disciplinary approach.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

For Hire: Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience. Minimum of six years of experience in a combination of leadership and direct patient roles in areas such as operations management, budgeting, market development, quality improvement, program development, revenue cycle management, and financial management within a healthcare practice and/or hospital setting. Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
