Role Description / Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing IT asset lifecycle management, procurement operations, inventory control, and the development and maintenance of best practices that align with organizational objectives and industry standards. The IT Asset Management Lead serves as the primary administrator and steward of the HIS Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of asset and configuration data. Operating within a dynamic, fast paced healthcare environment, this position must effectively manage multiple priorities, drive continuous process improvement, and adapt to evolving business and technology needs while providing guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university

• Seven (7) years working in any of the following roles in an enterprise environment: IT Asset Management, Desktop, Network, Service Desk, Server, or Telecommunications support

• Three (3) years of Asset Management or CMDB experience

• Two (2) years of leading one of the following teams in an enterprise environment: IT Asset Management, Desktop, or Service Desk

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or other computer related field

• IAITAM: Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) Certification

• Healthcare, Finance, or other highly regulated industry IT experience

• NIST or CIS Framework audit experience

• Experience managing enterprise asset inventories exceeding 5,000 assets and supporting multiple locations, departments, or business units

• ITIL Foundation Certification Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Comprehensive knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM), Configuration Management (CMDB), and IT Service Management (ITSM) principles, including asset lifecycle management, configuration management, software licensing, compliance, audits, and industry best practices.

• Demonstrated ability to develop, document, implement, and continuously improve policies, procedures, standards, workflows, and operational processes using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, ITIL Continual Service Improvement (CSI), or similar frameworks.

• Strong analytical, organizational, critical-thinking, and problem solving skills with the ability to conduct audits, identify process gaps, manage competing priorities, recommend corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical and nontechnical information, build collaborative relationships, and work effectively with staff, leadership, vendors, auditors, and business stakeholders at all organizational levels.

• Ability to develop and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and management reporting while supporting operational performance, customer service objectives, and business goals in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities & Typical Duties
