As the Product Strategy Portfolio / Region Lead you will define and lead the Advisory Business's product strategy, portfolio direction, and product management operating model across the US. You are accountable for ensuring that all product investments align to business priorities, deliver measurable outcomes, and scale effectively across a global product organization.

In this role, you lead all Product Managers across levels and pods, set strategic direction for the product portfolio, and partner with executive leadership to translate firm strategy into a coherent, outcome-driven product roadmap. You establish the standards, decision rights, and governance that enable Product Managers to operate effectively while ensuring consistency, focus, and value realization at the enterprise level.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and own the enterprise product strategy, vision, and multi-year roadmap across the full product portfolio

- Lead, develop, and manage Product Managers, including hiring, structure, performance management, and career development

- Establish and govern the product management operating model, including roles, decision rights, standards, and ways of working

- Own portfolio-level prioritization and investment decisions, balancing business value, risk, and capacity

- Partner with executive leadership to align firm strategy, business priorities, and product outcomes

- Ensure consistent product discovery, delivery, and measurement practices across pods and regions

- Oversee product portfolio performance, including progress against outcomes, value realization, and risk

- Drive alignment and dependency management across products, platforms, and shared capabilities

- Represent Product Strategy in executive forums, providing clear recommendations and tradeoff decisions

- Operate effectively within a global delivery model, scaling product strategy across regions and teams

Additional Responsibilities for Specialized Product Roles (as applicable)

AI & Automation Specialization

- Define enterprise AI and automation product strategy in partnership with Technology, Data, and Governance leaders

- Ensure AI-enabled products align with firm priorities, responsible AI principles, and regulatory requirements

- Guide Product Managers on identifying, prioritizing, and sequencing AI and automation opportunities

- Oversee portfolio-level outcomes for AI-enabled products, including adoption, quality, and business impact

Data Product Specialization

- Establishing firm‑level vision and strategic direction for data and model‑enabled products, ensuring analytics, models, and insights are foundational to enterprise product strategy and long‑term business outcomes

- Defining and governing firm‑wide standards for data and model quality, consistency, reuse, and scalability, in partnership with Data Science, Architecture, Risk, and Technology leadership

- Owning the enterprise approach to model lifecycle management—including development, validation, deployment, monitoring, retraining, and regression testing—ensuring practices are consistently applied across product portfolios and aligned to risk, compliance, and governance expectations

- Enabling and holding product leadership accountable for translating business strategy into scalable data and model requirements, success metrics, and quality thresholds, and for incorporating model performance, risk, and ethical considerations into executive‑level product investment and prioritization decisions

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)

- 15+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, or related leadership roles

- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise product strategy and managing large product portfolios

- Proven experience building and leading senior Product Management organizations

- Strong ability to make portfolio-level tradeoff decisions and influence executive stakeholders

- Experience defining operating models, governance, and decision frameworks for product organizations

- Excellent strategic thinking, judgment, and executive communication skills

- Experience operating in complex, matrixed, or professional services environments

Preferred Experience

- Experience leading AI-, data-, or platform-driven product portfolios

- Exposure to large-scale digital transformation or modernization initiatives

- Experience working with global or distributed product organizations

The base salary range for this position is between $187,500 and $270,000. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity. At Grant Thornton, compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
