This position is fully on-site and requires close collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams to support both low- and high-volume, engineer-to-order production.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage quality engineering activities on the manufacturing floor, ensuring products meet internal and external quality standards.
- Perform and oversee Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities for major customers, ensuring all documentation and validation requirements are met.
- Update and maintain quality procedures and documentation within the ISO 9001 quality management system, supporting ongoing certification and compliance.
- Participate in and lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations using tools such as Fishbone diagrams and 5 Why analysis to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Support and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including processes for incoming, in-process, and final inspection.
- Conduct and oversee quality inspections on electrical distribution equipment, switchgear, and related components to ensure conformance to specifications, UL standards, and milspec requirements.

- Review and manage Material Review Board (MRB) activities, including disposition of nonconforming materials and components.
- Utilize Bills of Materials (BOM) and engineering documentation to verify product configuration and ensure accurate build and inspection criteria.
- Apply knowledge of UL standards, including UL 891 switchboard commercial standards, and milspec requirements to guide design, manufacturing, and inspection practices.
- Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in product and process quality.
- Support efforts to maintain and enhance certifications and standards, particularly ISO 9001, and contribute to quality-related initiatives in a growing organization.
- Engage confidently with internal teams and customers to communicate quality requirements, findings, and improvement plans.
