Job Title: Sample Coordinator I

Book here for more info! Open to all level of experience & education! The Sample Coordinator performs a wide range of sample and standard handling activities that support daily laboratory operations. This role follows established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), responds to laboratory requests with minimal supervision, and helps ensure that all sample management processes comply with quality and regulatory requirements. The Sample Coordinator maintains a working knowledge of multiple stages of the sample and standard lifecycle and provides guidance to laboratory personnel on proper handling, storage, and documentation. Responsibilities

- Perform a variety of sample and standard management activities, including receipt, check-in, logging, labeling, launching, inventory control, transportation, storage, and check-out in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the return, retention, and disposal of samples and standards following established procedures and applicable regulations.
- Communicate the status and inventory of samples and standards to laboratory personnel and other stakeholders as needed to support ongoing laboratory operations.
- Provide guidance and support to laboratory staff on sample handling, storage, and chain-of-custody procedures to maintain data integrity and compliance.
- Initiate, document, and support investigations, deviations, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) related to sample management activities.
- Review laboratory requests and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Train personnel on sample management procedures, SOPs, storage requirements, and relevant regulatory expectations.
- Respond to environmental monitoring and storage unit alarms and participate in on-call responsibilities as required to protect sample quality.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support quality, traceability, and compliance requirements.
- Perform all assigned duties safely, accurately, and within established timelines while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- Proven experience maintaining accurate documentation and records to support quality and compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Work Environment This is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday. Start times typically range from as early as 7:00 a.m. to as late as 8:45 a.m., providing some flexibility within the morning hours. Team members generally work 8-hour days, and many choose not to take a formal lunch break, leaving after completing their scheduled hours. The role supports a laboratory environment that operates under regulated quality systems such as GMP, GLP, or ISO, with a focus on accurate documentation, sample integrity, and adherence to SOPs.

This is a Contract position based out of Middleton, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.18 - $20.20/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
