Responsibilities:

- Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for Dry Etch, Wet Etch, and Clean process technologies in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Lead yield improvement initiatives through root cause analysis, defect reduction, and process optimization.
- Develop, execute, and analyze Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies to improve process capability and product quality.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on throughput, cycle time, manufacturability, cost reduction, and process robustness.
- Lead qualification of new processes, equipment, toolsets, and technology transfers into manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex process and equipment issues through data-driven problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
- Partner with Product, Integration, Equipment, and Manufacturing teams to ensure process compatibility, manufacturability, and production readiness.
- Establish and maintain process control strategies, specifications, and documentation to support stable manufacturing operations.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel.
- Lead cross-functional projects and represent Sustaining Engineering in support of organizational goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and operational excellence.

Requirements:

- Bachelors or Master’s degree in ChemE, Mat Sci, EE, Physics, Chemistry or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of direct semiconductor industry experience, Subject Matter Experts (SME) with Dry and Wet Etch, Clean process technologies.
- Ability to develop resolutions to transfer technology and qualify complex toolsets, resolve problems with diverse scopes requiring in-depth analysis.
- Advanced understanding of statistical process control (SPC), MFG throughput, efficiency and engineering statistics.

Preferred:

- 7+ years of direct semiconductor manufacturing industry with experience on Applied Material Etchers, Wet Etch, FSI and/or JST equipment are a plus.
- Significant CMOS/Bipolar knowledge of device physics as-well-as device integration.
- 5+ years of interdisciplinary project management experience within semiconductor industry.
- 5+ years of hands-on academic or industry experience with process and materials development.
- Able to occasionally travel domestically and internationally as needed.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $113,190 to $163,905.
- Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location , experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
- This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors
- This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time , and other benefits.
- Benefits for the position includes 10 paid holidays per year, paid vacation starting at 136 hours per year for full-time employees (prorated for part-time employees), and paid sick time that exceeds the requirements of the Washington State Sick Leave law.
