What You’ll Do
- Develop, integrate, and test models of aerospace systems using your engineering knowledge and research skills.
- Document model performance and algorithm design, ensuring clarity and precision.
- Collaborate with internal and external team members to deliver innovative solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders to define requirements and showcase your work through model demonstrations.
- Candidates for consideration must live in the Charlottesville, VA area or be willing to relocate. Additionally, there is quarterly travel to Dayton, Ohio.
What You Bring – Required Skills, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university.
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- All candidates for consideration must possess an active and current DoD Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI clearance in a reasonable timeframe. Must be a US Citizen for this clearance.
- Proficiency required with 3DOF/6DOF flight models, MATLAB, Simulink, C++
- Strong understanding of aerospace systems and systems engineering processes.
- Success in this role requires excellent communication and organizational skills. This includes strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrates solid understanding and intuition of the functionality and interdependency of aerospace systems
- Organizational skills to document work and interface with team members to ensure flow of information
Bonus Points – Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Python
- Experience in autopilot design
- Experience with ballistic missiles, air-launched missiles, or hypersonic vehicles
- AFSIM or ITASE experience is a super plus!

## Pay Range:
Pay Range $69,550.00 - $125,725.00
