## Summary of Job Duties:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant (MA) to support our clinic operations and provide exceptional patient care. This position is essential for maintaining the seamless operation of our healthcare team and delivering high-quality care to our diverse patient population, with a focus on supporting our Spanish-speaking patients through effective communication and care.
The MA will conduct patient interviews, measure vital signs, and record patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. They will also draw and collect blood samples, prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, and set up treatment rooms for patient examinations. Administrative tasks such as patient registration, scheduling appointments, and managing procedures will be part of the role. ## Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent formal education.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certified Medical Assistant in the state of AR.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to provide compassionate and effective care to diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and medical equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Precision in recording patient data and preparing specimens for analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Phlebotomy skills.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in an ambulatory care setting

In this role you'll be responsible for:
- Preparing patients for visits: vitals, EHR data entry, and escort to exam rooms
- Communicating the visit reason to the provider
- Assisting with care, injections, EKGs, procedures, and wound care
- Escorting to labs/radiology and ensuring timely return to exam rooms
- Handling standing orders when patient load requires extra data entry
- Scheduling outside procedures and pre-authorizations; routing referrals as needed
