Full-Time: 40 Hours/Weekly, Day, Night, Weekday, Weekend, Holiday rotation of 12 & 24-hour shifts
General Summary
Responds to EMS calls and performs a variety of functions related to the care and treatment of patients suffering from urgent and emergent disease and/or injury states in accordance with appropriate rules, regulations, and protocols. according to PA DOH EMS Act and scope of practice.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
Work Experience:
- 1 year In busy 911 system. Required
Licenses:
- Certified Paramedic Upon Hire Required or
- Certified Pre-Hospital Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required and
- Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required and
- Ped Adv Life Support Upon Hire Required
Driver's License Statement:
Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.
Courses and Training:
- Medical Command Authorization Upon Hire Required and
- Emergency Vehicle Operator's Course (EVOC) Upon Hire Required and
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) 100, 200, 700, 800 – Hazardous Materials Awareness Upon Hire Required and
- Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator (EMSVO) Upon Hire Required
