Position Overview
The ISP Service Technician supports the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Stimulus Broadband’s fixed wireless and fiber optic network infrastructure. The role blends hands-on fixed wireless and fiber optic internet service with IT and network support: installing and aligning wireless equipment, installing customer premise equipment for homes and businesses, and troubleshooting signal, connectivity, and network device issues. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on ladders, has experience installing fixed wireless and/or fiber optic equipment, and has a solid understanding of IT and networking systems. Fiber optic experience is a plus. This role is required to work in person from our Henderson, NV office.
What You'll Be Doing
- Install and align wireless equipment, including microwave dishes, LTE/5G radios, and access points.
- Install and configure wireless backhaul and point-to-point / point-to-multipoint systems.
- Install customer premise equipment for fiber or wireless internet service at homes and businesses.
- Perform cabling (fiber, CAT5/6, coax, power, and grounding) and weatherproofing.
- Troubleshoot signal, interference, and connectivity issues.
- Assist with commissioning and testing of wireless networks and work with RF and networking teams to optimize system performance.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and network devices; support basic LAN/WAN infrastructure and IP connectivity issues.
- Assist with device setup, firmware updates, and remote access systems.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations and installations.
- Where experienced, assist with basic fiber installation, termination, and troubleshooting, perform testing with power meters or other tools, and work alongside fiber teams when needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and perform site inspections.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, routers, switches).
- Ability to work on ladders and in outdoor environments.
- Able to use basic power and manual tools for installation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Preferred, not required: fiber optic experience (splicing, testing, or installation); experience in ISP, WISP, or telecom environments; knowledge of RF fundamentals and wireless technologies; certifications such as OSHA 10/OSHA 30 or ComTrain/tower safety certification.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to use ladders and work at heights.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 50–75 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Requirements
