About this role
We are seeking an experienced Outsourcing Project Lead to drive the successful execution of strategic outsourcing initiatives across our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional projects that transition products, processes, and manufacturing activities to external suppliers while ensuring business continuity, customer service, quality, and financial objectives are achieved.
Working closely with Procurement, Category Management, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain teams, you will serve as the primary leader coordinating all activities required to successfully launch and stabilize outsourced production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead outsourcing projects from approval through launch and stabilization.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful production transfers.
- Drive launch readiness activities and monitor project execution performance.
- Manage inventory transition plans, capacity planning, and supply continuity activities.
- Coordinate quality, engineering, manufacturing, and operational readiness requirements.
- Track project performance, financial benefits, and business case realization.
- Identify and resolve execution risks impacting cost, quality, delivery, or customer commitments.
- Communicate project status and key milestones to stakeholders and leadership.
- Support continuous improvement of outsourcing and project management processes.
Qualifications
- Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, operations, engineering, or project management.
- Proven experience leading complex cross-functional projects.
- Experience with manufacturing transfers, outsourcing initiatives, supplier transitions, or operational transformation programs.
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and lead without direct authority.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification.
- APICS, ASCM, SCMP, CPSM, or similar professional designation.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and global supplier networks.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, product launches, and manufacturing transfer processes.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification.

SALARY RANGE : $95,000 - $131,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
