JOB TITLE:         Software Engineer

LOCATION:        Irving, TX

DUTIES:   Develop high-performance microservices using Java, Spring Webflux, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud RESTful APIs and Node.js, applying object-oriented design principles and design patterns to ensure modularity and maintainability. Participate in high-level system design for complex, large-scale e-commerce platforms, including API contracts, data flow diagrams, and service decomposition for high availability and fault tolerance. Architect and deploy backend services on AWS leveraging ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB, ensuring elasticity, cost efficiency, and compliance with best practices for cloud-native applications. Implement asynchronous communication using AWS SQS/SNS, and Apache Kafka for ordering lifecycle events, ensuring guaranteed delivery and horizontal scalability across distributed systems. Design schemas for NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB), optimize queries for high throughput, and implement caching strategies (Redis) to reduce latency in e-commerce workflows. Build and maintain automated pipelines using GitHub Actions, Maven, and Jenkins, integrating Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments and enforcing quality gates through automated testing. Integrate New Relic, Open Telemetry, Cloud Watch and Prometheus, for monitoring, logging, and alerting. Work with Implement proactive strategies for incident detection and resolution in production environments. Work with relational databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL, and work with CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate ambiguous business requirements into clear technical specifications, ensuring alignment with product goals and customer experience. Monitor industry trends, evaluate modern frameworks, and integrate relevant tools into the engineering ecosystem. Leverage experience with AI and automation platforms to create and deploy internal tools that enhance process quality, code reliability, and team collaboration.

REQUIREMENTS:   Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 3 years of experience in the following: software development, including design and implementation of scalable backend or distributed systems; developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot, RESTful APIs and microservices; performing database design using NoSQL including DynamoDB and MongoDB and relational databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL; and working with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using GitHub Actions or Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes. Experience therein to include 1 year of experience working with AWS cloud services including ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB; and working with distributed, event-driven systems using Kafka and AWS SQS/SNS.
