About this role

Passionate about precision medicine and advancing the healthcare industry?

Recent advancements in underlying technology have finally made it possible for AI to impact clinical care in a meaningful way. Tempus' proprietary platform connects an entire ecosystem of real-world evidence to deliver real-time, actionable insights to physicians, providing critical information about the right treatments for the right patients, at the right time.

The Marketing Manager - Germline plays a critical downstream commercial execution role driving market adoption, campaign success, and field enablement for our hereditary cancer testing (HCT) and expanded germline genetics portfolio. Working closely with senior marketing leadership, Medical Affairs, Product, and Sales, this role translates complex genomic science—including Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows, Variant of Uncertain Significance (VUS) resolution, and cascade/family-member testing programs—into compelling HCP- and patient-facing materials.

Responsibilities

- Multi-Channel Campaigns: Execute downstream GTM tactical plans to increase clinical adoption of hereditary screening tools and point-of-care germline workflows.
- Collateral Development: Create HCP sell sheets, pitch decks, white papers, patient education guides, and digital portal assets that clearly articulate our unique clinical value proposition.
- Digital & Patient Engagement: Partner with digital marketing teams to optimize clinician portals, streamline genetic counseling integration, and improve online patient experience.
- Sales Enablement: Equip the commercial team with high-impact sales aids, objection-handling tools, and competitive differentiation materials.
- Training Support: Collaborate with Learning & Development (L&D) to ensure sales representatives are well-trained on product positioning and clinical narratives.
- Feedback Loop: Regularly engage with regional sales reps and medical science liaisons to gather field insights and refine messaging.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside R&D, Medical Affairs, and Genetic Counseling teams to ensure all messaging is scientifically validated.
- Regulatory & Legal Review: Direct promotional assets through internal legal, compliance, and regulatory review processes (CLIA/CAP/FDA compliance standards).
- Events & Congresses: Oversee conference booth strategy, promotional collateral, and sponsored symposia at major oncology and genetics meetings (e.g., ACMG, NSGC, ASCO).
- KOL & Speaker Support: Support key opinion leader (KOL) engagement initiatives and educational webinars.

Required Skills

- Downstream Execution: Proven track record of launching marketing collateral and driving multi-channel GTM campaigns.
- Cross-Functional Project Management: Strong ability to lead projects to completion across technical, medical, legal, and commercial teams.
- Communication & Storytelling: Ability to simplify complex genomic data into clear, persuasive, and actionable clinical narratives.
- Digital & AI Tooling: Modern approach to leveraging CRM systems, digital automation, and AI-driven workflow tools for commercial efficiency.

Required Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 4–7+ years of downstream product marketing experience in healthcare, clinical diagnostics, or life sciences.
- Baseline understanding of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), cancer genomics, or hereditary cancer testing (HCT) concepts.
