We’re looking for a Journeyman Automotive Mechanic to join our Edmonton shop team. If you’re hands-on, mechanically minded, safety-focused, and committed to doing the job right the first time, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

You’ll play an important role in keeping Wilco’s fleet safe, reliable, and ready for the work ahead.

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain light vehicles, trailers, and small equipment.
- Perform inspections and identify mechanical issues before they become bigger problems.
- Work with the Service Manager to prioritize repair orders, plan work, and keep repairs moving efficiently.
- Use your diagnostic skills and experience to identify problems and determine the right repair solutions.
- Complete repairs to a high standard, ensuring vehicles and equipment are safe and ready to return to service.
- Perform on-site repairs and service calls when required.
- Maintain accurate service reports, repair records, and maintenance documentation.
- Follow safe work practices and help maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop.

Requirements

- Journeyman Automotive Service Certification
- Minimum of 3 years of automotive service experience
- CVIP Certification is a condition of Employment
- Experience with heavy equipment is an asset
- Ability to adapt to flexible working schedules
- Proficient with computer systems and smart devices, with a willingness to adopt new work order software
- Detail-oriented and quality-driven mindset
- Self-motivated and able to demonstrate strong work ethics
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license
- Possession of necessary personal tools for light truck and trailer repairs
