About this role
Provides expert-level knowledge and financial oversight for research and/or clinical trials billing and collections, including industry sponsored trials and investigator initiated trials.
- Demonstrated knowledge of billing practices, institutional financial administration policies, procedures, and practices, institutional regulations, guidelines, policies, and procedures, as applicable.
- Substantial knowledge and understanding of research and/or clinical and billing regulations affecting clinical trials and medical research (e.g. NCD 310.1). Intermediate
- Familiarity with all research administrative business processes for industry-sponsored clinical research projects. Advanced
- Substantial knowledge of financial tracking systems, including Accounting, EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) applications. Advanced
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Knowledge of common business and cost drivers, and financial statement analysis within clinical research .
- Self-motivated problem solver with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate key information with leadership, physicians, and other research staff .
- Ability to professionally handle matters of a sensitive nature with confidentiality.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills with strong working knowledge of Excel.
- Demonstrated leadership ability: Ability to effectively manage staff and motivate them to produce timely and competent work with minimal supervision. Ability to develop and implement processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in research financial operations. Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate with executive-level staff and others in a clear and professional manner. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with personnel at all levels to gather information, communicate requirements, and handle complex issues. Must be flexible and adaptable.
- Bachelor's Degree Required.
