The Position
The Opportunity
As a Scientist in the Personalized Healthcare (PHCS) Assay Development team, you will initiate, direct, and perform scientific research and development to support new and existing diagnostics products.
In this role you will
- Apply advanced scientific knowledge and theoretical understanding of numerous techniques, including histology, immunohistochemistry, and/or in situ hybridization.
- Create potentially patentable components for systems, reagents, or processes.
- Utilize DOE where appropriate.
- Participate in cross-functional technical team activities, sharing knowledge and expertise with others.
- Contribute to project planning and experimental design.
- Analyze data, evaluate results, form conclusions, and provide or implement process or document improvements.
- Prepare and deliver presentations of project results to others.
- Monitor work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time.

Who you are
- You have a Bachelor's Degree in science with 8+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 3+ years / entry level with PhD).
- You have demonstrated potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others, and independent thought.
- You have a strong understanding of scientific principles and concepts.
- You apply advanced technical writing skills to produce reports and documents.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Arizona is 82,700.00 -130,020.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
