YOUR ROLE
Facilities Engineer
As a Facilities Engineer , you will play a key role in supporting the reliable operation of our building systems, utilities, and facilities infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the performance of mechanical and electrical systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Responding promptly to emergency situations such as fire incidents, evacuations, equipment failures, and other critical events.
- Ensuring daily maintenance issues are addressed and resolved to support the smooth operation of building services and facilities.
- Providing coaching, training, and guidance to facilities technicians to help achieve department objectives and improve system reliability.
- Performing, monitoring, and maintaining facilities, electrical systems, and plant equipment.
- Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance activities according to schedule.
- Liaising with contractors for rectification works, routine maintenance, and addition or alteration works.
- Supporting new project ramp-up activities as required.
- Coordinating with manufacturing customers regarding fault, alarm, and breakdown calls.
- Conducting regular inspections of critical facilities areas to identify potential safety hazards and unsafe conditions, and initiating corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
- Promoting and maintaining good 5S and housekeeping practices.
- Participating in the company’s Emergency Response Team (ERT), first aid, and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities.
- Performing repair and troubleshooting work to restore services to normal operating condition as quickly as possible.
- Leading and managing a team of technicians to support facilities operations.
- Undertaking other ad hoc duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements
You are a strong candidate for this role if you have:
- A degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Engineering Systems.
- Experience working in a semiconductor environment, with facilities systems experience being an advantage.
- Leadership or management experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in CMMS and SAP.
- Knowledge of instrumentation and control (I&C), automation, and PLC systems.
