Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all on-site MEPF construction activities, ensuring works comply with approved drawings, specifications, client standards and local authority requirements.
- Lead and direct the site MEPF engineering team; monitor daily progress against the programme and supervise contractors and subcontractors to enforce quality, safety, testing and commissioning requirements.
- Coordinate MEPF interfaces with CSA, architecture / ID, façade, ELV, AV/IT and specialist vendors to ensure seamless installation and prevent clashes; drive BIM coordination and resolution of site clashes.
- Review, with the design consultants, contractor shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, Inspection & Test Plans, construction programmes and progress claims relating to the MEPF scope.
- Track procurement and delivery of long-lead MEPF equipment (transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers, AHUs) including factory acceptance tests (FAT) where required.
- Lead MEPF inspections and QA/QC; manage NCRs, RFIs and site instructions; identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Drive the testing & commissioning process (Level 1–5, including Integrated Systems Testing for mission-critical facilities) with the commissioning agent, through to handover.
- Manage authority submissions and acceptance, including fire safety (PCCC) acceptance and utility / EVN grid connection and energisation.
- Champion HSE on site – permit-to-work, LOTO, energisation and high-risk activities – and participate in incident investigations.
- Assess MEPF change requests and variations with the Cost Manager; prepare detailed progress and technical reports for management and client stakeholders.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Building Services Engineering, or a related MEP discipline.
- Valid Grade I or Grade II Construction Practising Certificate (supervision and/or design) for the relevant MEP discipline – mandatory for Vietnamese nationals .
- 8–10+ years’ relevant experience, with a proven track record of managing MEPF delivery on large-scale, complex projects across data centre, industrial / high-tech manufacturing and mixed-use sectors, from construction through to completion.
- Strong understanding of local and international codes and standards for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV and building systems (TCVN / QCVN, IEC, NFPA, ASHRAE).
- Proven experience in testing & commissioning, authority submissions and acceptance, contractor management and MEP integration with other trades.
- Ability to lead large multidisciplinary site teams, with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, influence and persuade others.
- Good spoken and written English .
