About this role
Build the Future of Wealth Management Technology
If you've spent the last few years developing in Salesforce and are ready to move beyond endless ticket queues, repetitive development work, and disconnected projects, keep reading.
At Savant, we're looking for a Salesforce Developer who wants to do more than write code. We're looking for someone who enjoys understanding business problems, partnering with stakeholders, and building solutions that have a visible impact across an organization.
This isn't a role where you'll spend months maintaining a single application or making minor updates to the same workflows over and over again. You'll help shape the future of our Salesforce ecosystem, work directly with business leaders, and tackle a wide variety of initiatives that support a growing national wealth management firm. The role is heavily focused on Salesforce development, with opportunities to influence automation, business processes, integrations, and platform strategy.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
We're experiencing tremendous demand for Salesforce enhancements across the business and have a substantial backlog of high-impact initiatives waiting to be built. This role was created because the appetite for Salesforce innovation has outgrown our current capacity. You'll join a highly collaborative team that's investing heavily in Salesforce and Financial Services Cloud while helping drive the next phase of platform maturity across the organization.
What makes this opportunity different?
- Direct partnership with business stakeholders, not simply taking orders from a queue
- Significant ownership and autonomy
- A blend of Apex development, Salesforce Flows, automation, and solution design
- The ability to influence requirements before development begins
- Exposure to a wide variety of business challenges rather than a narrow development lane
- Opportunity to help reduce reliance on outside consultants and build long-term internal expertise
What You'll Be Doing
As a Salesforce Developer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, enhancing, and supporting Salesforce solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience across the organization. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing custom Salesforce solutions using Apex and related technologies
- Building and enhancing Salesforce Flows and low-code/no-code automation solutions
- Partnering directly with business stakeholders to understand challenges and define requirements
- Translating business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Creating technical specifications and development documentation
- Supporting Financial Services Cloud enhancements and related platform initiatives
- Expanding solutions currently being implemented through consulting partnerships
- Contributing to a growing portfolio of Salesforce projects across multiple departments
- Helping prioritize and deliver high-value initiatives from a large development backlog
- Collaborating with developers, engineers, administrators, and business teams to drive successful outcomes
Who Thrives Here?
- The strongest candidates won't just be Salesforce developers.
- They're consultants, problem solvers, and communicators.
- They enjoy conversations with business users. They ask questions. They challenge assumptions. They seek to understand the "why" behind a request before jumping into code.
- If your favorite part of development is understanding a business problem and creating a solution that makes someone's job easier, you'll likely find this role rewarding.
A Few Things to Know About This Opportunity
- Location Flexibility: Remote-friendly position with a preference for candidates located in the Midwest or Chicago region for occasional in-person collaboration. Initially up front, you can expect a more hybrid work environment with approximately one day per week in the office for collaboration and team engagement.
- Work Model: Enjoy the flexibility of a distributed team while staying connected through regular collaboration with business and technology partners.
- Typical Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule with occasional evening or weekend support during deployments or critical releases.
- High-Impact Work: You'll help tackle a growing backlog of Salesforce initiatives, partnering directly with stakeholders to deliver solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes.
- Growth & Ownership: This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects from requirements gathering through deployment while building toward future leadership or senior-level Salesforce development opportunities.
