The Blue Planet software division is seeking a software engineering intern to contribute to the development and maintenance of Fulfillment Resource Adapters (RA). The role involves using Generative AI and implementing data models and ingress/egress adaptation layer components between Blue Planet Orchestrator/Inventory products and external devices within a micro-services oriented, container-based system architecture. The position provides exposure to OSS platforms supporting IP/MPLS, optical networks, telco cloud, 5G, and SD-WAN environments.

How you will make an impact:

- Develop new software micro-services, libraries, and features for Resource Adapters, device simulators, and tools that auto-generate data models and RA pipelines.
- Create automated test suites for Resource Adapter feature validation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve product issues identified during system integration testing and customer deployments.
- Collaborate with local and remote software development, test, delivery, and support teams.
- Participate in planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and documentation activities.

The must haves:

- Education: Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Electronics/IT/Computer Science Engineering or equivalent,
- Python based development in Linux environment

- Cloud environments (e.g., Docker, AWS, Openstack etc.)
- Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, algorithms & design patterns

Nice to haves:

- Experience designing, developing, and testing Resource Adapters for IP/MPLS, optical networks, telco cloud, 5G, or SD-WAN environments.
