Job Introduction

The Global Marketing function is focused on supporting the strategic and revenue growth priorities of the Bank. The function focuses on understanding customers and the identification, development and execution of Marketing strategies, campaigns and activities that support and strengthen the HSBC brand, support the drive for revenue and increase customer value and satisfaction in order to meet agreed targets and objectives at both a global and market level.

This role will be responsible to bring new Brand partners, create long term Intellectual properties(IPs), strategy and framework for delivery of all events, third party sponsorships and the coordination of all activities to drive Brand recall, acquire new customers and engage with existing customers for HSBC Wealth & Personal Banking business in India.

Principal Responsibilities

Lead content strategy and integrated marketing campaigns that strengthen brand relevance, deepen customer engagement and deliver measurable business impact. The role will bring together storytelling, digital and social channels, partnerships and intellectual properties (IPs) into a cohesive marketing programme.

Key Success Measures

Content strategy and storytelling

- Develop the content strategy in line with brand positioning, customer needs and business priorities.
- Translate product propositions, partnerships and IPs into compelling stories across customer touchpoints.
- Build content formats that support awareness, consideration, acquisition and engagement.
- Campaigns and integrated marketing
- Lead campaigns from insight and creative briefing through execution, amplification and evaluation.
- Integrate paid, owned and earned channels, including digital, social, PR, events and offline media.
- Partner with business, product and customer teams to connect campaigns with commercial objectives.
- Manage agencies, budgets and timelines to deliver effective campaigns.

Digital, social and amplification

- Define digital and social strategies that extend campaign reach and meaningful engagement.
- Develop platform-specific content and work with creators and influencers where relevant.
- Use audience insights and performance data to optimise content, media and customer journeys.
- Identify opportunities to extend campaigns beyond launch through sustained storytelling.

Partnerships and IP activation

- Shape the marketing narrative and activation strategy for partnerships, sponsorships and owned IPs.
- Develop co-branded campaigns that create clear value for customers and partners.
- Maximise the use of partnership assets across channels.
- Evaluate partnership effectiveness against agreed brand and business outcomes.

Marketing effectiveness and leadership

- Establish campaign objectives, measurement frameworks and reporting dashboards.
- Assess brand impact, customer response, conversion and return on marketing investment.
- Turn campaign learnings into recommendations for future investment and execution.
- Lead teams and agency partners, fostering strong collaboration, accountability and creative standards.

Role Requirements / Qualification / Experience

- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business priorities into differentiated brand, partnership and experiential marketing strategies.
- Proven capability to originate, negotiate and manage high-value strategic partnerships with leading brands, rights holders, agencies and commercial partners.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience demonstrating measurable business outcomes, customer acquisition, engagement and return on marketing investment.
- Deep understanding of affluent and wealth customer segments, premium consumer behaviour and luxury marketing.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior business leaders across local, regional and global teams.
- Demonstrated leadership in delivering integrated marketing programmes across digital, content, events, sponsorships and customer experiences.
- Strong negotiation, influencing and contract management capabilities.
- Experience managing multiple agencies, production partners and cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed organisation.
- Ability to balance creativity with governance, regulatory requirements, risk management and brand compliance.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using customer insights and campaign performance metrics to drive optimisation.
- Exceptional communication, presentation and executive storytelling skills.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity while managing multiple high-profile initiatives simultaneously.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related discipline.
- MBA or Postgraduate qualification from a reputed institution preferred.
- Professional certifications in Marketing, Brand Strategy, Digital Marketing or Sponsorship Management would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of financial services marketing and regulatory requirements is desirable.

Experience

- 12–15+ years of progressive experience in strategic marketing, brand management, partnerships, sponsorships, content or experiential marketing.
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale integrated marketing campaigns with measurable commercial impact.
- Proven track record of developing and commercialising strategic partnerships across sectors such as sports, entertainment, travel, luxury, fashion, technology or lifestyle.
- Experience leading premium customer experiences, flagship events and sponsorship activations from strategy through execution.
- Experience managing significant marketing budgets and driving optimisation based on ROI and performance metrics.
- Strong experience working with senior executives, external partners and global stakeholders.
- Prior experience within banking, financial services, premium consumer brands or multinational organisations is highly preferred.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams in a matrix environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale proprietary brand IPs that enhance customer engagement and brand differentiation.

Pro-tip : Familiarity with AI-enabled tools is an advantage.

Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
