Position Summary: The DEVELOPMENT ORGANISER – (Monitoring & Evaluation) will be responsible for data collection, data quality assurance, MIS management, analysis, documentation, and donor reporting requirements to ensure availability of reliable information for evidence-based decision-making and program improvement. This position is expected to work closely with field teams and project staff to strengthen data systems and reporting processes.
Key responsibilities:
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Support the implementation of project monitoring and evaluation frameworks, indicators, and reporting mechanisms.
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to project locations and verify field-level progress against plans and targets.
- Assist in the collection, compilation, validation, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative project data.
- Track project outputs, outcomes, and key performance indicators (KPIs) and report deviations.
- Support baseline, midline, endline, outcome, and impact assessments.
- Assist in conducting internal monitoring exercises and project reviews.
MIS & Data Management
- Support operationalisation and maintenance of project MIS systems.
- Ensure timely entry, updating, and management of project data in MIS platforms.
- Perform data cleaning, validation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Maintain project databases and generate periodic dashboards and data summaries.
- Coordinate with field teams to improve data quality and adherence to data collection protocols.
Digital Data Collection
- Digital data collection tools using platforms such as Survey CTO, Kobo Collect, ODK , or similar applications.
- Provide technical support to field staff for mobile-based data collection.
- Monitor field data synchronisation and troubleshoot data collection issues.
- Ensure adherence to data privacy and confidentiality standards.
Data Analysis & Learning
- Conduct basic statistical and trend analysis for project performance tracking.
- Prepare analytical reports, presentations, and summaries for management review.
- Generate actionable insights and recommendations to support programme implementation and decision-making.
- Contribute to documentation of best practices, lessons learned, success stories, and case studies.
Reporting & Documentation
- Support preparation of high-quality monthly, quarterly, annual, and donor reports.
- Compile project evidence, beneficiary data, photographs, and case studies for reporting purposes.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data used in internal and external reports.
- Support preparation of presentations and information requests from management, donors, and headquarters.
Capacity Building & Coordination
- Train and orient project staff and community facilitators on M&E tools, MIS processes, and data quality standards.
- Coordinate with programme teams to ensure timely reporting and documentation.
- Support internal and external evaluations, audits, assessments, and donor visits.
- Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the PS/AM/RM.
Qualifications: Essential:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in social work, Rural Development, Sociology, or related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, MIS, data management, or programme reporting within the development sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse rural/tribal communities.
- Good communication skills (local language proficiency is essential). Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in preparing project and donor reports.
- Ability to travel regularly to project locations.
Desirable:
- 2–3 years of experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, MIS, data management, or programme reporting within the development sector.
- Experience in digital data collection platforms such as SurveyCTO, KoboCollect, KoboToolbox, ODK, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of statistical and data analysis software such as Power BI, SPSS, STATA, R, or similar tools.
- Good facilitation, training, and leadership development skills.
- Strong documentation, report writing, and case story development skills in English/local language.
- Willingness to travel and stay in rural/tribal areas as per project needs.
