About the Unit

To convert this into action, Yara Technology located in Porsgrunn, Norway, works to optimize utilization of assets and identify solutions for long-term competitive advantage, including technologies for emission free production of fertilizers based on renewable energy.

Our focus is to improve existing processes and technologies as well as to develop new and innovative solutions for processes and products. We work together with plants on raw material selection, process development, problem solving to support production of high-quality fertilizers. Our aim is to contribute to maintain Yara's leading position in sustainable fertilizer production.

We are now looking for students to work on an interesting summer project. This project will explore methods to optimize processes for producing NPK fertilizers. This internship is an opportunity to experience and influence the industrial-scale production of fertilizers in Porsgrunn. The work will be connected to ongoing projects in the NPK & Environmental Technologies Department

Responsibilities

- Participate in an R&D project related to NPK fertilizer production

- Assist in planning and performing laboratory experiments

- Evaluate and document experimental results

- Collaborate with researchers and other team members

Profile

- 3rd or 4th year student in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering

- Interest in chemistry, process technology and industrial R&D

- Motivated, curious and eager to learn

- Hands-on and interested in practical laboratory work

- Able to work independently and as part of a team

- Comfortable working in a diverse and multicultural environment

The project will last for 6-8 weeks from June to August 2027
