Job Requirements

Role Summary

The role focuses on the design, development, and maintenance of the PKI Agent, a device-side software platform responsible for secure device connectivity, registration, provisioning, agent lifecycle management, remote operations, job orchestration, software updates, certificate management, and device-cloud communication across multiple healthcare products.

The ideal candidate will possess strong C++ expertise, deep understanding of PKI, X.509 certificates, cryptographic protocols, and certificate lifecycle management, strong Windows and Linux system knowledge, and the ability to independently lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable PKI solutions in a distributed environment. The candidate should also demonstrate proficiency in AI-driven Software Development Lifecycle (AISDLC) practices, leveraging modern AI engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex, and similar AI-assisted development platforms to accelerate design, implementation, code reviews, automation, troubleshooting, testing, and overall engineering productivity while maintaining high standards of security, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

- Lead technical design and implementation of PKI Agent features.
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Translate business and product requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Drive technical investigations, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
- Identify technical risks and define mitigation plans.
- Champion AI-Driven SDLC (AISDLC) practices by leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development efficiency, code quality, and delivery predictability.

PKI Agent Development

Design and implement capabilities related to :

- Device registration and provisioning.
- Agent self-update and recovery workflows.
- Remote command execution.
- Device-cloud communication.
- Certificate lifecycle management.
- Job orchestration and state management.
- Agent configuration and lifecycle management.
- Secure authentication, authorization, and cryptographic operations for connected healthcare devices.

Quality Engineering & Automation

- Develop and maintain comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Design, implement, and enhance Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) test automation frameworks and test suites.
- Drive automated testing across functional, integration, regression, and system validation scenarios.
- Collaborate with QA and V&V teams to establish test strategies and improve automation coverage.
- Ensure features meet quality, performance, scalability, and security requirements through continuous validation and testing.

Engineering Excellence

- Lead code reviews and mentor engineers.
- Drive quality, reliability, and secure coding practices.
- Collaborate with Cloud, Infrastructure, QA, DevOps, and Product teams.
- Participate in Agile planning, estimation, backlog refinement, and sprint execution.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex, and similar platforms for design exploration, implementation acceleration, test generation, debugging, code reviews, and engineering productivity.
- Ensure solutions meet maintainability, scalability, security, compliance, and operational excellence requirements.
- Create, review, and maintain QMS deliverables and technical documentation, including software requirements, design specifications, traceability artifacts, risk assessments, verification documentation, and release records in compliance with HealthCare quality and regulatory processes.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements, engineering productivity initiatives, and release readiness activities.

Work Experience

Required Technical Skills

C++ Development

· 5+ years of software-development experience.

· Strong expertise in Modern C++ (C++14/17 or later).

· Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, STL, multithreading and concurrency, memory management, performance optimization, debugging and profiling.

· Experience developing production-grade system software.

Windows and Linux System Expertise

Strong hands-on expertise with Windows and Linux operating systems, including system services, process and thread management, networking, security, certificate handling, diagnostics, performance analysis and production troubleshooting. Proven ability to investigate and resolve complex cross-platform system-level issues and drive reliable software delivery in production environments.

PKI & Security Platform Experience - Mandatory

- Experience developing secure software solutions on Windows and/or Linux platforms.
- Experience designing, developing, or supporting PKI, cryptographic, identity, or security-focused platforms.
- Experience implementing and managing certificate lifecycle management, including certificate issuance, renewal, rotation, revocation, and recovery workflows.
- Experience with X.509 certificates, TLS/mTLS, certificate-based authentication, and secure communication protocols.
- Experience designing and implementing secure device-to-cloud, service-to-service, or distributed system communication architectures.
- Experience integrating with Certificate Authorities (CA), Registration Authorities (RA), Hardware Security Modules (HSM), or enterprise key management solutions.
- Experience developing secure provisioning, enrollment, credential management, and trust establishment workflows.
- Experience with cryptographic libraries, key management, encryption technologies, and industry security standards.
- Understanding of security, reliability, resiliency, compliance, and operational considerations for large-scale PKI and certificate management platforms.
- Experience creating and maintaining quality and regulatory documentation, including QMS artifacts, design documentation, verification records, traceability, and release documentation.
- Experience implementing automated testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks within regulated software environments.
- Familiarity with AI-Driven SDLC (AISDLC) practices and AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex, and similar platforms to improve development productivity and quality.
