About this role

Team Introduction
The Global Payment Treasury team provides the payment solutions behind ByteDance platforms including TikTok: payment acquiring, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, and reconciliations.
We solve complex treasury and payment challenges across global markets, managing liquidity, FX, reconciliation, and payment operations while balancing regulatory requirements, cost efficiency, and business needs.
You will keep payments smooth, secure, and reliable at scale, for users across ByteDance's platforms.

This role owns the asset and liability management framework for the company’s consumer and merchant lending businesses. It connects business growth, loan cash flows, funding requirements, liquidity, cost of funds, and balance-sheet returns. The role partners closely with the Funding Management team and works across business, finance, credit risk, legal, tax, compliance, product, technology, and data.

Responsibilities:
- Funding Planning & Allocation: Develop daily, weekly, and rolling 12-month funding forecasts; define funding allocation across countries, products, and channels; run liquidity stress tests; and translate funding requirements into financing constraints.
- Liquidity Management: Build cash-flow forecasting and monitoring mechanisms to support loan disbursement, collections, and debt service; optimise idle cash; reduce all-in cost of funds; and establish market-specific Liquidity Contingency Plans.
- Asset-Liability Risk Management: Build an ALM framework covering duration matching, maturity mismatch, and refinancing risk; manage interest-rate and cross-border FX exposures; establish funding diversification and concentration limits; and monitor the impact of asset quality on liability structure.
- Asset Routing & Yield Management: Build dynamic asset routing strategies across instruments, channels, and asset pools based on yield, risk, and funding cost; develop asset segmentation and funding-channel models to improve capital efficiency; and establish asset-pool performance and cost-of-funds analytics.
- Systems & Data: Develop liquidity policies and process controls; drive system capabilities for asset tagging, channel rules, and routing strategies; and establish management reporting and risk alerts to ensure key ALM metrics are traceable, explainable, and reviewable.

This role will be based onsite at our office and will require a 5-day onsite work arrangement.

Minimum Qualification(s):
- 5+ years of experience in treasury, ALM, liquidity management, or a related field, preferably with experience in consumer finance or credit-asset treasury.
- Deep understanding of consumer lending models, the loan asset lifecycle, and asset-quality metrics.
- Ability to independently build loan cash-flow, funding requirement, liquidity forecasting, and stress-testing models.
- Strong understanding of how vintage, delinquency, loss, and prepayment affect cash flows, liquidity, and financing structures.
- Strong balance-sheet and financial-statement analysis skills, with the ability to connect business growth, funding needs, cost of funds, liquidity, and ROE.
- Experience managing interest-rate risk, FX risk, maturity mismatch, refinancing risk, and counterparty concentration.
- Strong cross-functional leadership, senior stakeholder management, team management, and proficient in both written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualification(s):
- Experience in Southeast Asian and Latin American financial markets is preferred, together with knowledge of local regulatory and capital-control constraints.
