What does Finance Supervisor do at WPP Production?

This role is pivotal in managing comprehensive financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close processes, and preparing detailed management and statutory reports in adherence to internal and regulatory standards. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining SOX compliance, overseeing a finance team, collaborating with auditors and tax advisors, and assisting the Finance Director across all financial aspects.

Key Responsibilities

- Work with Account Servicing team/project manager to verify job completion status, reconciling and closing of jobs, sighting proof of delivery

- Overall responsible in assisting the Finance Director for all Finance aspects including daily operation, monthly/quarterly/annual management and statutory reporting

- Manage month end close for all reporting units ensuring timely and accurate reporting in line with Hogarth/WPP requirements

- Prepare/review month‐end adjustment journals, balance sheet reconciliations, confirmation and reconciliation of intercompany balances, as well as schedules to ensure accuracy

- Prepare monthly management information including actual to forecast analysis, variance analysis and trends

- Assist in month-end Reporting and Closing

- Monthly review of all the ageing reports, include WIP, debtors, creditors, etc

- Participate in annual, quarterly and monthly budgeting and forecasting process

- Assist in tracking of outstanding POs

- Liaise with SSC on financials matters and resolve issues

- Maintain internal SOX and other controls/processes to ensure compliance with SOX, Internal and External Audit requirements

- Work closely with Global/Regional Finance in respect of compliance, accounting processes, systems and control environment

- Responsible for SST returns and submission to Customs

- Year round liaison with auditors, accountants and tax advisers to ensure timely finalisation of accounts and filings as appropriate

- Prepare statutory year end accounts

- Manage a team of Senior/Finance Executive(s)

- Assist in ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time as required

- Manage highly confidential financial data and proprietary company information with the utmost discretion and integrity

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent), with MIA membership preferred

- Minimum 4–5 years of relevant finance experience

- Hands-on experience managing full month-end close across multiple reporting units, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations

- Proven experience preparing management reports, variance analysis, budgets and forecasts

- Working knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks

- Experience working with a Shared Service Centre (SSC) and regional/global finance teams in an MNC environment

- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

- Able to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

- Clear communicator, able to work with Account Servicing, project managers and senior stakeholders

- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information
