About this role

What you'll do

- Own QA delivery across the project or projects under your responsibility.

- Define project-level QA strategies, testing approaches, quality goals, and delivery expectations.

- Lead, support, and develop QA Leads and senior members of the QA team.

- Establish testing priorities, quality gates, and milestone readiness expectations.

- Review testing coverage, quality risks, delivery confidence, and project health.

- Own project-level QA reporting, forecasting, and stakeholder communication.

- Make resource planning and allocation decisions to support project needs.

- Manage escalations relating to quality, delivery, staffing, and operational concerns.

- Partner closely with Production, Development, and leadership teams to support project success.

- Drive continuous improvement across QA processes, workflows, tools, and methodologies.

- Support recruitment, career development, succession planning, and capability growth within the QA department.

- Ensure QA practices align with studio objectives, production goals, and business priorities.

What You Bring

- 12+ years of experience in QA within the games industry.

- Shipped at least 5 AAA titles through a full development cycle.

- Proven experience managing QA teams on large-scale game development projects.

- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, production processes, and project delivery practices.

- Experience defining QA strategies, quality objectives, and testing approaches at project level.

- Demonstrated success managing resources, priorities, and delivery expectations across multiple teams.

- Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Experience managing project-level quality risks, delivery concerns, and escalation paths.

- Ability to make informed decisions in complex and fast-moving development environments.

- Passion for quality, continuous improvement, and team development.

Nice to Have

- Experience supporting multiplayer, live-service, or large-scale AAA productions.

- Experience with certification, compliance, and release management activities.

- Experience managing external QA partners, vendors, or outsourcing relationships.

- Strong understanding of Perforce, development pipelines, and game production workflows.

- Familiarity with Hunt: Showdown and its development challenges.

- Experience contributing to departmental strategy or organisational growth initiatives.
