Job Description
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide per diem athletic training coverage as needed to support team operations and athlete care
- Perform comprehensive injury assessments and evaluations using appropriate clinical examination techniques
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans for injured athletes
- Provide immediate emergency medical care and injury management in accordance with established protocols
- Collaborate with team physicians, coaching staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal athlete health and safety
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records and documentation for all athlete evaluations and treatments
- Design and implement injury prevention programs and conditioning protocols to enhance athlete performance and reduce injury risk
- Educate athletes on proper injury prevention techniques, recovery strategies, and return-to-play guidelines
- Manage athletic training equipment, supplies, and facilities to ensure they meet safety and operational standards
- Monitor athlete health status and provide ongoing support during practices, competitions, and team events
- Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and organizational policies
- Communicate effectively with athletes, coaching staff, and medical personnel regarding injury status and treatment progress
Qualifications
**Required:**
- Current Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC) license in Pennsylvania
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited Athletic Training program
- Current CPR/AED certification and First Aid certification
- Knowledge of injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation protocols
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
