MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior AEGIS Combat Systems Consultant to join our team . This is a remote, part-time position requiring 20-30 hours per week .
In this role the Senior AEGIS Combat Systems Consultant will provide technical and engineering support to conduct an exhaustive landscape assessment of AEGIS Integration Events (AIE) and formulate an actionable scaling strategy to accelerate system fielding.
This is a temporary, fixed-term assignment scheduled through June 5, 2027 (the end of the current contract option year), with the potential for extension or additional follow-on tasking based on customer requirements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Survey, evaluate, and baseline the current operational capability of the NSWC DD AIE Team and the broader AIE “Team of Teams” responsible for planning, executing, and certifying AEGIS Integration Events and associated element integration activities.
- Identify operational bottlenecks, facility constraints, single-points-of-failure, and shared-resource contention to determine how AIE throughput can be significantly scaled upward without encumbering internal AEGIS Development programs.
- Evaluate the utilization, scheduling, and capacity of all land-based test facilities supporting AIE, explicitly incorporating the Land-Based Test Sites (LBTS) at Moorestown, NJ and Wallops Island, VA as well as investigate any implications with the Distributed Land-Based Test Site initiatives to understand how distributed connectivity and remote test execution impact the current integration footprint.
- Conduct a risk and trade-off analysis across all major AIE processes, facilities, and components to identify single-points-of-failure (SPOFs), critical chokepoints, and systemic bottlenecks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 9+ years of Navy program management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or a High School Diploma and 6+ years of additional relevant experience as described above in lieu of degree
- Experience in a senior role on a Navy acquisition program
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Navy Combat System modernization programs
- Active duty Navy combat systems experience on an AEGIS platform.
Clearance Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required and a current or active Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $105,900.00-$177,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
