About this role
Execute key phases of semiconductor wafer chuck manufacturing including, but not limited to, mechanical assembly, lapping, clean room operations, interferometric inspections, final inspection, and packing of finished goods for shipment. Complete all responsibilities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Recommend improvements to new and existing programs, documentation, fixturing, and processes. Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment while communicating effectively to optimize Quality, Safety, Delivery, and Efficiency. We are seeking a Cleanroom Technician in our Newtown, CT facility where we produce advanced material products at the sub-micron level. The Cleanroom Technician is responsible for detailed assembly, cleaning, final inspection, packaging, and shipment preparation of precision products to ensure conformance with customer and engineering specifications. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete assemblies and subassemblies, operate precision measuring equipment, perform fine cleaning activities, and complete clean room tasks.
- Bond and assemble small components and assemblies.
- Clean, inspect, and verify components and assemblies meet quality requirements.
- Perform final inspection of finished products using precision measurement equipment and documented inspection criteria.
- Accurately document inspection results and verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications.
- Package finished goods in accordance with established procedures to ensure product protection and shipment readiness.
- Prepare and organize completed products, documentation, and packaging materials for customer shipment.
- Evaluate procedures and recommend changes or modifications to improve efficiency, quality, and adaptability to production requirements.
- Confer with engineers, production personnel, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Maintain safe, clean, orderly, and organized work areas.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion and organization of required paperwork and production records.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 2-year technical degree desirable
- 2-4 years relative experience in at least one of the critical Finishing functions
- Experience with clean room operations, interferometer equipment, lapping equipment and precision measuring equipment
- Experience with precision measurement methods and systems
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/blueprints and process procedures
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures closely while offering suggestions for continuous improvement
- Experience with networked PC based computer system (spreadsheets, Email, MRP systems)

- Hands-on individual with keen interest in position with varied tasks

- High mechanical and mathematical aptitude
- Experience with use of various measuring tools
- Experience with process improvement initiatives
Working Conditions
- Newtown, CT facility
Physical Requirements
- Able to frequently lift/push/pull objects that are 25 pounds, or lighter, repeatedly
- Able to sit, stand, bend, squat and walk about the facility
- Walking/standing a minimum of eight (8) hours per day
Safety Requirements
