About this role
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheet accounts, and other accounting reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, and investigate variances and outstanding items.
- Review and validate journal entries to ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, providing accurate and timely financial information.
- Analyze financial results and account fluctuations, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner closely with Settlement, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment of products and transactions.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and controls.
- Participate in regional accounting activities across Panama, Chile, and other countries within the LACA region.
- Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, standardization, and reporting quality.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; recently qualified Accountants are encouraged to apply.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, account reconciliations, or audit support.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
- Experience working with external auditors and cross-functional stakeholders in Finance, Settlement, or related areas.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, knowledge of automation, AI tools, or related technologies is highly desirable.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, with the ability to collaborate in a regional and multicultural environment.
