Transmission Operations is seeking a motivated and innovative Technical Senior Specialist to support the development, optimization, and sustainment of critical work management systems, business applications, reporting tools, and operational technology solutions that enable the safe and reliable operation of the electric transmission system.
Reporting to the Section Manager, this role serves as a key partner to field operations, business stakeholders, IT organizations, vendors, and consultants to drive operational excellence, process improvement, and digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will leverage technology, analytics, automation, and project management expertise to translate operational needs into effective solutions that improve workforce productivity, enhance data-driven decision-making, and support the safe, reliable delivery of service to our customers.
This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan.
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Mathematics and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Relevant Work Experience
- Minimum of five years of relevant information technology experience, required.
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise applications, required.
- Experience troubleshooting software, hardware, and system integration issues, required.
- Experience working with structured datasets, reporting platforms, and business intelligence tools, required.
- Ability to manage process improvement projects to successful completion, required.
- Experience performing business systems analysis and requirements gathering, preferred.
- Experience supporting operational and field organizations, preferred.
- Experience leading teams and implementing business or information technology projects or programs or demonstrated ability to manage process improvement projects to successful completion, preferred.

Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Must be able and willing to travel to all locations in the Northeast, including Canada.
