# Job Description Summary
As part of the Defense Engines & Services (DES) FLIGHT DECK Leadership team, this role drives transformation through FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace’s lean operating model, serving as the Total Productive Management (TPM) Transformation Leader for Lynn Operations, DES & Lynn Quality, and Infrastructure.

Bridging the operations and transactional sides of the organization, this role champions lean transformation, fosters a culture of continuous improvement, and provides lean and TPM education, training, and support.

This role will require up to 25% Travel.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Executive FLIGHT DECK Leader, DES, this role serves as coach, facilitator, and advocate, driving understanding and adoption of FLIGHT DECK and TPM. This will be accomplished through:

- Partnering with operations and transactional leaders to prioritize and solve problems based on voice of the customer and voice of the process.

- Leading Total Productive Management (TPM) deployment, including planned maintenance, equipment reliability, and facilities readiness, in close partnership with the Lynn Operations maintenance function.

- Implementing and coaching the Daily Management process, including daily management meetings, genba walks, and Kata coaching cycles.

- Championing kaizen and facilitating kaizen events to drive improvements.

- Coaching and developing team members at all levels to build lean skills, effective KPIs, action plans, problem solving, and operating cadences that drive sustainable results.

- Delivering step-change performance improvement through execution of Hoshin Kanri improvement priorities and action planning.

- Bridging operations and transactional teams to ensure consistent FLIGHT DECK and TPM practices.

- Working with colleagues to quickly deploy new, best-practice capability and processes.

- Embracing lean, digital tools, and rigorous prioritization to drive continuous improvement and increase employee and customer satisfaction.

- Sharing best practices across GE Aerospace Defense & Systems.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- At least 5 years’ experience applying Lean in a global, matrix organization

Desired Characteristics and Experience:

- 8+ years in business operations, with 5+ years in lean or operations leadership
- Proven ability to achieve results using the Lean toolset.

- Experience with Total Productive Management (TPM), including planned maintenance and equipment reliability programs

- Experience facilitating 5-day kaizen events end-to-end — preparation, coaching stakeholders on problem-statement framing, facilitating the session to identify opportunities and drive decision-making, assigning ownership, and managing follow-up

- Lean practitioner capable of facilitating Value Stream and kaizen events and coaching core tools such as Daily Management, structured problem solving, Standard Work, and Total Productive Management (TPM); continuous improvement experience in both transactional and operations environments

- Experience delivering Hoshin Kanri (HK) breakthrough objectives

- Strong operational background with ability to motivate teams and influence outcomes in large, matrixed organizations without direct authority

- Experience developing senior leadership communications and maturing executive operating cadences

- Change agent able to make the case for lean, demonstrate immediate impact, and drive adoption and maturity through change management

- Demonstrated bias for action, with ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines

The base pay range for this position is $163,300 - 217,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on October 19, 2026.
