About this role

Are you ready to shape our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) footprint on a global scale? As part of our dynamic Public Affairs and Sustainability team, you will lead and evolve our strategic capability, ensuring we deliver sustainable impact and lead with care across all our markets. You'll empower your team, champion innovation, and collaborate cross-functionally to inspire trust and elevate our business.

Location: London or Amsterdam Reporting to: Director Global Public Affairs & ESG

These are some of the key components to the position:

- Define and lead Just Eat Takeaway.com’s (JET) global ESG strategy, operating model, and governance routines.
- Oversee key environmental sustainability priorities, including decarbonization initiatives and delivery tracking.
- Lead community and social impact programs tailored to our stakeholders and diverse markets.
- Align ESG priorities with Public Affairs positions to safeguard our global license-to-operate.
- Build strong relationships with Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), industry bodies, and external stakeholders.
- Lead, care for, and develop a high-performing ESG team while advising senior leadership on risks and opportunities.

What will you bring to the team?

- Strong strategic corporate background in ESG, environmental sustainability, public affairs, or corporate governance.
- Proven track record defining strategy, governance, and priorities across cross-functional teams with senior exposure.
- Deep understanding of social impact and environmental topics, ideally within technology, consumer, or marketplace platforms.
- Skilled at translating regulatory changes, external expectations, and reputational risks into clear business actions.
- Natural leader with experience developing and empowering a high-performing expert team.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and influencing skills across international leadership teams.
