As a Summer 2027 Treasury Intern at TotalEnergies in Houston, you will gain practical experience by supporting over 75 U.S. affiliates, including joint ventures, in daily cash management operations across multiple resource management systems. Under the guidance of experienced treasury professionals, you’ll assist in managing cash flows for TEHUSA and entities overseen by TEAS Treasury. Your tasks will focus on learning how to safeguard assets and support treasury operations by adhering to the Company’s internal control framework for Treasury Management, providing you with valuable exposure to industry standards and best practices.

This position sits in our Corporate Office Downtown, Houston.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Cash Management

- Support daily cash management, monitoring and reporting on daily cash positions.
- Participate in monitoring TEHUSA's cash balance with Company Treasury and ensuring daily liquidity.
- Participate in providing core treasury payment support to entities under TEAS shared services: manual and batch wire/ach payment initiation and release, positive pay files, EFT payments.
- Assist in the daily TEHUSA Cash Poll forecasting process.

Bank Account Administration

- Update and maintain the Shared Services Bank Listing file
- Ensure all external bank accounts and services are in good standing with the current authorities (certificates of incumbency)
- Collaborate to optimize usage of the Quantum TMS tool to deliver accurate and efficient treasury operations
- Support all documentation requirements for new accounts and services
- Provide support for managing the internal debt agreements of all U.S. affiliates

TEAS Treasury Reports

- Support the preparation of Power BI Reports on Daily Cash Position.
- Contribute to the monthly updates of the TEAS Finance Report.

- Liaise with General Accounting and the SSC Manila team for the reconciliation of Quantum to the respective US Affiliate ERPs.
- Enhance the monitoring of TECUSA and TEHUSA financial instruments - US Shelf Bonds, US Commercial Papers, Deposits and Intercompany Loans.

Internal Controls & Ad hoc projects

- Perform duties within the context of the company's internal control framework and ensure compliance with Treasury SOX controls.
- Support ad-hoc projects, assist management with various projects and Company Treasury initiatives as needed.
- Assist in the quarterly Quantum SOX controls.

REQUIREMENTS:

- GPA of 2.8 or higher

- Degree plan in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field
- Must be a fast learner, self-motivated and eager to identify improvement opportunities
- Critical thinking with problem-solving skills is essential
- Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with accounting, legal, tax and business teams
- High level of organization and reliability in handling time‑sensitive cash activities
- Proficiency with IT tools and comfort working with financial systems.
- Power BI experience is a strong plus
- Advanced excel skills for analysis is a strong plus
