About this role
Under direct supervision, responsible for coordinating and overseeing the provisions of advanced technical skills in the diagnostic evaluation and care of patients. Provides treatment and care of patients by performing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, tests and obtaining data as directed.
- Maintains and demonstrates a working knowledge of basic medical anatomy, eye anatomy, diseases, symptoms, and ocular medications.
- Understands and uses proper sterile techniques.
- Knowledge of standard medical abbreviations.

HS or GED
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Meet and maintain minimum requirements for JCAHPO certification as Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT).
