About this role
The R&D Project Engineer is a keystone position within NOV's technology center, responsible for conceiving, designing, and delivering next‑generation Intervention and Stimulation solutions. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of seasoned engineers, you will translate market needs into robust, high‑performance hardware and software, ensuring that NOV remains at the forefront of energy‑sector technology. This role blends hands‑on prototyping, systems engineering, and project management to create value‑adding, reliable products for global customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Petroleum Engineering.
- 3+ years of R&D experience in oilfield equipment, preferably Intervention or Stimulation technologies.
- Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and CAE tools (ANSYS, CFD).
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, pressure systems, and high‑pressure equipment design.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including schedule and budget control.
- Experience with prototype fabrication, testing, and iterative design cycles.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and data‑driven decision making.
- Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder presentations.
- Knowledge of industry standards (API, ISO) and safety regulations.
- Ability to travel as needed.
