The Distribution Manager oversees regional fleet transportation, bulk and microbulk routing, driver management, regulatory compliance, and equipment maintenance while maintaining safety as the top priority. Working in close coordination with the Plant Manager and other department heads, this position supervises and supports a dedicated team of up to 11 drivers to ensure the safe, efficient, and seamless flow of materials and products.

The ideal candidate brings extensive commercial driving experience and leverages modern telematics, video safety systems, and enterprise management software—specifically Lytx DriveCam, Omnitracs, and SAP—to optimize fleet operations, maintain accurate bulk inventories, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a strong culture of safety.

What You'll Do:

Safety, Leadership & Supervision

- ## Maintain a culture of safety across all fleet and driver operations.
- ## Directly supervise, coach, and manage a team of up to 11 Shuttle, Bulk, and Microbulk drivers.
- ## Oversee hiring, training, performance reviews, scheduling, discipline, and conflict resolution.
- ## Communicate policies and job orders clearly, providing hands-on operational support as needed.

Fleet, Maintenance & Telematics

- ## Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure fleet readiness.
- ## Monitor Lytx DriveCam video events to coach drivers and reduce risky behaviors.
- ## Utilize Omnitracs for ELD compliance, Hours of Service (HOS), route adherence, and vehicle tracking.

Routing, Scheduling & Inventory

- ## Schedule regional bulk and microbulk deliveries inside and outside assigned locations.
- ## Estimate labor hours, assign daily routes, and adjust workloads to meet delivery schedules.
- ## Calculate and manage accurate bulk inventory levels in delivery units.
- ## Implement process improvements to boost fleet efficiency and meet performance goals.

Compliance, SAP & Administration

- ## Ensure strict D.O.T. compliance, managing DVIRs, driver qualification files, and manifests.
- ## Use SAP for daily customer invoicing, closing shipments, and tracking time/production records.
- ## Log accurate mileage for IFTA reporting and maintain delivery documentation.
- ## Coordinate with plant leadership and other departments to align material and product flow.

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications:

- ## Commercial Driving Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on past experience operating Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) [e.g., Class A or B CDL experience].
- ## Regulatory Compliance: Deep working knowledge of D.O.T. regulations, FMCSA guidelines, HOS rules, and IFTA reporting requirements.
- ## Safety Record: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Preferred Qualifications

- ## Management Experience: 5 years of management or supervisory experience in fleet transportation, industrial gas, bulk liquid distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- ## ERP Proficiency: 5 years of hands-on experience utilizing SAP for invoicing, shipment closure, inventory control, and logistics management.
- ## Safety & Telematics Systems: Practical experience operating and managing safety platforms:

## DriveCam (Lytx): Video event review, risk coaching, and safety scorecards.
- ## Omnitracs: Driver logs, ELD compliance, tracking, and route management.

- ## Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent field preferred.

Key Competencies & Skills

- ## Safety Leadership: A strong "safety-first" mindset with the leadership capabilities to enforce standards and build team accountability.
- ## Analytical & Mathematical Capability: Skilled in calculating and tracking precise bulk inventory levels and evaluating route efficiencies.
- ## System & Software Proficiency: High technical aptitude in SAP, DriveCam, Omnitracs, and fleet maintenance tracking software.
- ## Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with Plant Management, inter-departmental teams, drivers, and external customers.
