Compensation
At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $21.80 - $27.00. Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors, including the year of study, type of academic program, and the number of prior co-op work terms completed.
Join Our Team as an Operational Excellence Support (Co-op)!
The Operational Excellence Support (Co-op) student will support the development, design, implementation of S&C Canada's supply management. The student will work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operational Excellence teams to establish supplier performance management processes, scorecards, audit systems, risk management tools, and supplier development frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist developing and maintaining supplier qualification, segmentation, and classification processes.
- Support supplier risk assessments and maintain accurate supplier profiles and approved supplier information.
- Collect and analyze supplier performance data, including quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness metrics.
- Create and maintain workflow maps, process documentation, training materials, and user guides.
- Support supplier audit preparation, corrective action tracking, and supplier quality improvement initiatives.
- Analyze supplier non-conformance and performance trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Create Power BI and Excel reports, including monthly supplier performance reports and KPI analysis.
- Prepare supplier performance information and analysis to support management presentations and business decision-making.
What you’ll Need To Succeed:
- Pursuing a degree/diploma in Business Management, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Is in a registered co-op program and available for a 12-month co-op placement starting in the Winter 2027 work term.
- Previous experience with supply chain and operations would be considered an asset.
- Proficient with Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, VLOOKUP)
- Familiar with tools such as Power BI, KPI tracking, and data visualization
- Interest in continuous improvement (LEAN fundamentals, Process mapping, root cause analysis, etc)
- Excellent communication skills
- A team player
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Effort:
Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.
Work Environment:
Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
